At Mt. Zion reverence for the Lord is a key aspect of our worship (Proverbs 9:10). Our service follows the historic liturgy, joining us with the faithful who have gone before us who worship Jesus as Lord. Christ and His words are the central focus the service.
We make use of music and hymnody that has stood the test of time in the Church and in Lutheran congregations throughout the centuries up to the present day and that faithfully proclaims the teaching of the Scriptures.
There are no legalistic rules for how to dress, but we encourage modesty and dressing in a way that honors the real presence of Christ our Savior among us.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me." We believe people of every age are to be present at divine service to receive the Lord's gifts, from infants to the aged. Children that become fussy can be taken out of church briefly to the narthex or quiet room until they're ready to return. Bring your kids!
Guests should speak with the pastor before coming forward for communion.
There's a large parking lot in the back of the church. Handicap parking is in the front circular drive of the church. The church is handicap accessible through the front door.
